Thelma Weaver

Thelma Lee “Sissy” Weaver, 83, of Front Royal died on Saturday, February 28, 2015, in the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel Lee Campbell.  Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver was born January 26, 1932, in Winchester, daughter of the late Vernon Jones and Lillian Ridgeway Rose. She was married to the late Edward Weaver.

Mrs. Weaver was a retired seamstress having been employed with both Aileen, Inc. of Flint Hill and the Front Royal Garment Company. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family and she was a wonderful homemaker.

Surviving are a daughter Brenda K. Lockhart of Front Royal and her husband John; two God –grandchildren Nathaniel Jackson and Zachary Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Kent.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Bucher, Nathaniel Jackson, Zachary Jackson, James “Mick” Jackson, Jr., Steve Ritter, Jr., and John Ritter.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
