Julisa B. Washington
July 29, 2013
Julisa Brittany Washington was the daughter of Antoinette Young and the late James Washington. She was born in Prince George's County, Maryland on May 22, 1991. She was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System.
“Lovie”, as she was affectionately called by her niece Leeasha, was extremely family oriented. She was a very loving and devoted daughter and shared an extraordinary bond with her Mom - they were inseparable. Julisa also shared a very close and special relationship with each of her siblings and was loved greatly by her nieces and nephews as she loved them. She would always say she would never have kids because she had enough nieces and nephews, whom she treated as her own but when she found out she was going to be a mother, she was elated – this changed her life instantly!
Julisa was a kind young woman always willing to lend a helping hand. Whenever her family called upon her she was always there. She had a great personality and sense of humor and was known to jokingly say “shut up stupid” to her brother whom she loved dearly and could never do any wrong. She impacted many lives with her generous, compassionate, and friendly demeanor and was well known in her community and was blessed with many friends and acquaintances. Julisa was noted for her high fashion and colorful pajamas pants, scarfs, boots and countless shoes. She was a lover of animals and loved taking trips to the zoo with her family but what she loved most was her Dallas Cowboys! She was an avid fan.
Julisa Washington departed this life tragically on July 29, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Antoinette Young; one brother, Leon Jones (Theresa Jones), three sisters: Cehon Davis, Leigh Thomas and Beatrice “Be Be” Washington; nieces and nephews: Joshua, Malik, Tyrique, Savion, Amari, Shawayne Jr., James and Semaj: Jasmine, Kayla, Jantice, Amani, Leeasha, and Jamya. Two aunts, Sheila Pinkney and Gloria Brooks and one uncle, Russell Young.
