Louise A. Newman

Louise Alice Newman, 90, of Zion Church Road, Three Springs, PA, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA.

Born March 5, 1927 at Three Springs, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Lane) Park.

She was united in marriage to Donald Earl Newman on October 29, 1949 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Newman preceded in death on December 29, 1984.

Mrs. Newman is survived by three children: Cynthia Hornbaker and husband Marvin, Chambersburg, PA; Craig Newman, Todd, PA; and Christopher Newman, Three Springs, PA.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Amy Hornbaker, Chambersburg, PA.

A sister, Maxine Horton, Three Springs, PA also survives. Three brothers, Raymond Park, Jr., Samuel Park and James Park are deceased.

Mrs. Newman was of Protestant Faith.

She was a 1944 graduate of Saltillo High School and a 1945 graduate of Huntingdon Secretarial School. In earlier years, Mrs. Newman worked at Swigart Associates, Huntingdon, PA and later at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Newman loved to quilt and sew and enjoyed making items on her sewing machine for family and friends.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Center Cemetery, Waterfall, PA.  Rev. David Ford will officiate at the service. There will be no public viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
