Dorothy Bowman

Dorothy Ada Mae Bowman, 90, formerly of Waterfall Road, Three Springs, PA, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born August 30, 1927 at Blairs Mills, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Marie (Kling) Wiser.  She was first married to Calvin W. Barber and later to James Bowman, both are deceased.

Mrs. Bowman is survived by five children: Janice Divens, St. Thomas, PA; Pauline Duvall and husband Robert, Sr.; Robertsdale, PA; Donna Homer and husband John, Chambersburg, PA; Roy Barber, Clearfield, PA; and Marvin Barber and wife Kristie, Mapleton Depot, PA.  A grandson Bill Abbott, Fairfield, KY was also reared in the home.    Four sons, Ivan Wiser, Arthur Barber, Dan Barber and Robert Barber, preceded in death.

There are 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

A sister Claire Shehan survives of Harrington, DE.  

Three brothers, one sister and two grandsons preceded in death.

Mrs. Bowman belonged to the Fairview Evangelical Church, Three Springs, PA.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Rev. William Hughes officiating.  Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Robertsdale, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6—8:00 PM Thursday evening and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
