Walter R. McGugan

Walter Raymond McGugan, Jr. of Crownsville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD, at the age of 61.  Walt was born on December 16, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walter Raymond McGugan, Sr. and Salome (Greatrex) McGugan.

Walt was an active amateur radio operator and member of the Potomac Valley Radio Club, with his call sign of W3FG. He enjoyed planning and taking road trips, and researching current events on the computer.

Walt is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marge McGugan of Crownsville, MD; two children, Dennis McGugan and his wife, Jennifer of Rutland, MA and Kathy McGugan of Fairfax, VA; his grandson, Patrick and sister, Salome Hamby and her husband, Ronald of Frisco, TX.  He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
 
The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD (map/directions) 21113 on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113 (map/directions) on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.   Interment will be held at Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery, Odenton, MD.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 MD Route 3 North, Building A, Gambrills, MD 21054 (DONATE)
