Maurice N. Mason of Washington, DC entered into eternal rest, suddenly on Friday, July 6, 2012.
He is survived by three beloved daughters, Veronica Bruce, Dominique Bruce and Deadra Nelson-Mason; seven grandchildren, Phillip King, Brittney Smith, Darryl Bruce, Desmond Smith, Johnnae’ Williams, Nayel Nelson-Mason and Imhotep Nelson-Mason-Showed; three great-grand children, Bryce Julius Freeman, Xzayvion King, and Brooke Freeman; three sisters, Dorothea Perkins-Hooks (Perry), Veronica (Ronnie) Groom, and Vanessa Atoyebi (Emmanuel); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a devoted and loving mother, Gloria Hall, father, Hugh Mason, a loving step-father, Robert Hall, a nurturing grandmother, Massie Jordan and a devoted and loving uncle Leon Carter.
