Fred R. Gumbert

Fred R. Gumbert, 86, formerly of Salt Road, Mt. Union, PA, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Arista Care at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.
    
Born October 11, 1930 at Latrobe, PA, he was a son of the late David & Lillian (Rush) Gumbert. He was united in marriage to the former Grace F. Booher on March 20, 1950. Mrs. Gumbert survives at Arista Care at Woodland Park.

He is also survived by three children, Ronald Gumbert and wife Elizabeth of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Linda Gumbert of Sellersville, PA and Pamela Alderfer and husband James of Quakertown, PA, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Mr. Gumbert was a member of Charity Lodge F. & A. M., Norristown, PA and Harrisburg Consistory. He retired from J. C. Langenfelder Construction Company, Baltimore, MD.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Dan Mansberger officiating. Interment will be made at Germany Valley Cemetery, RD, Shirleysburg, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Employee Fund at Arista Care at Woodland Park, 18889 Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA 17243.
