Anna M. Crouse

Anna M. Crouse, 83, of Shade Valley Road, Shade Gap, PA, died at 9:30 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Woodland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Orbisonia, PA.
    
Born April 19, 1932 in Letterkenny Twp., Franklin Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas & Kathleen (Hammond) Baker. She was married to Gerald D. Crouse on September 6, 1958. Mr. Crouse survives at their home.
    
Also surviving are four children, Jeffrey Crouse of Shade Gap, PA, Teresa Crouse Briggs of Warrior’s Mark, PA, Perry Crouse of Shade Gap, PA and Shawn Crouse and wife Amy of Shade Gap, PA, four grandchildren, Lauren Crouse, Luke Crouse, Troy Crouse and Molly Crouse, five great grandchildren and two sisters, Carolyn Shellings and Joyce Easter, both of Chambersburg, PA. One brother, Thomas “Bud” Baker and three sisters, Winifred Bowen, Jo Dolata and Rose Marie Goshorn, preceded in death.
    
Mrs. Crouse was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA and the ladies auxiliary of the Shade Gap Volunteer Fire Co.
    
She graduated from Quincy High School in the Class of 1951 and the former Chambersburg Beauty School.
    
For many years she owned and operated Anna’s Beauty Shop, Shade Gap, PA. In her earlier years she was employed as a telephone operator in Franklin County.
    
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 20896 Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA with Fr. Joseph Fleming officiating. Interment will be made at 2:00 PM, Monday, at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA 6 – 8 PM on Sunday and 9:30 – 10:30 on Monday.
    
A Rosary Service will be held at 7:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
