Dora E. Cisney

Dora Emogene Cisney, 91, of Neelyton Road, Shade Gap, PA, died Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home.
    
Born January 24, 1927 at Blairs Mills, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jesse W. & Ella Lillian (Bair) Robinson. She was united in marriage to Cecil C. Cisney on November 3, 1945. Mr. Cisney preceded in death on May 3, 2007.
    
She is survived by three children, Bonnie Burkett of Greencastle, PA, Danny Cisney and wife Carol of Shade Gap, PA and Allen Cisney of Shade Gap, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Robinson of East Waterford, PA. She was preceded in death by a son in law, Bill Burkett, a daughter in law, Denise Cisney, three sisters, Gail Cresswell, Norma Parsons and Francis Irene Waters and two brothers, Daryl Robinson and Leon Robinson.
    
Mrs. Cisney was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, PA, the Shade Gap Farm Women and the Shade Gap Golden Agers.
    
During her life she was a homemaker and was also employed at Stanley Manufacturing, Chambersburg, PA and at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA.
    
For many years she baked cakes for weddings, birthdays and other occasions.
    
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 11691 Circle St., Shade Gap, PA with Pastor Richard Fluke officiating. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, RD, Shade Gap, PA. Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA 7 - 9 PM on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
