William S. Booher

William Shade Booher, 73, of Ridge Top Road, Three Springs, PA, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home.
    
Born July 12, 1945 in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Melvin S. & Verna E. (Sample) Booher.
    
He is survived by four children, Robin Anderson and husband Brian and Karen Hammons and husband Jerry all of RD, Three Springs, PA, Michael Booher and wife Sandra of Willow Hill, PA and Jamie Flowers of Mt. Joy, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great grandson and two brothers, Donald Booher and wife Ruby of RD, Orbisonia, PA and Duane Booher and wife Louise of Mt. Union, PA.
    
Mr. Booher attended the Church of God of Prophecy, Orbisonia, PA. He was a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 126, York, PA.
    
During his life he was employed by Holden’s I. G. A., Orbisonia, PA for 15 years and then by Henkels & McCoy, Inc., York, PA for over 30 years.
    
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman and in his younger years enjoyed playing softball.
    
Mr. Booher was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving from 1970-1972.
    
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Donald Pflugh officiating. Interment will be made at Jordan Cemetery, RD, Orbisonia, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
