Doris I. Baer

Doris Isabelle Baer, 82, of Auxiliary Drive, Shade Gap, PA died at 7:05 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Fulton County Medical Center,   McConnellsburg, PA.

Born May 18, 1930 in Spring Lake, Bradford County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Lillie Pearl (Springer) Johnson.  She was married to Robert B. Baer, Sr. on October 26, 1949.  Mr. Baer survives at their home.

Mrs. Baer is survived by three daughters and one son:  Pam Zerance, Steelton, PA; Robert B. Baer, Jr. and wife Norma, St. Thomas, PA; Sally Eisaman and husband Bill, Clear Ridge, PA; and Rev. Robin Baer, Williamsport, PA.  

There are five grandchildren: Mark Bradnick and wife Keysha, Justin Bradnick and wife Sara; Robert B. Baer III and wife Casey; Melissa Baer and Bill Eisaman.

Also surviving are four great grandchildren: Parker, Chase, Brooklynn and Patrick.

Twelve brothers and sisters preceded in death.

Mrs. Baer was a member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, PA.

She was a member of the Shade Gap Area Senior Citizens and assisted with the Shade Gap Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Baer had worked 17 years at Sagner Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

She and her husband would have soon celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 5, 2012 at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 11669 Circle Street, Shade Gap, PA 17255 (map/directions) with Pastor Vicki Jordan officiating.  Interment will be made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, RD, Shade Gap (map/directions).  Friends may call at the church from 6—8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 11669 Circle Street, Shade Gap, PA  17255.
