Primitivo J. Muniz

Primitivo (Pete) J. Muniz, 87, of Lords Valley, PA and formerly of New City, NY, passed away November 24, 2014 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.

Pete was a WWII Army Veteran, retired Administrator for Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Pomona, NY, and licensed Private Pilot.

Over the years, Pete had been active in numerous civic organizations including the Lions Club of New City, Rockland County Democratic Party, EMT for Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Member of Rockland County Sewer Commission, Board Member of Legal Aide Society and Captain of the Civil Air Patrol.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Stella Muniz; 7 children: Sandy Lieberman (Bob), Roxanne Lewis (Ted), Gary Muniz (Christine), Dawn Geyer (John), Keith Muniz (Marie), Danielle Sindt (Daniel), Adrienne Muniz (Tara); 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on November 29, 2014 from 2 to 3 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on November 29, 2014 at 3 p.m.
