Edward Nelson Lloyd

Edward Nelson Lloyd, age 94, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 25, 2015 with his loving wife of 68 years, Mae, at his side. Eddie was born on Feb. 21, 1920 in Weehawken, NJ, the son of Burt and Edith Lloyd.

He was part owner of Camp Sagamore, a popular summer resort in the Poconos, for many years. He was also a self-employed electrician and an electrical inspector for several nuclear power plants, working until he was 85 years old. Eddie was a long time member of the Milford Masonic Lodge, serving as Master Mason in 1952. He was an accomplished vocalist who was part of the choir and a Sunday School Teacher at the Milford United Methodist Church as well as a member in a barbershop quartet for many years.

Eddie is survived by his three children: Raymond, Ellen and Karen, all of Milford; six grandchildren: Janel Lloyd, Raymond Lloyd, Kimberly Orben, Janine Howard, Jessica Lloyd; and five great grandchildren: Deitrick, Addison, Liam, Braden and Cameron.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, 206 E. Ann Street, Milford on Sat. Jan. 31st at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Coy officiating.
