Geraldine Vivian Jones

Geraldine Vivian Jones was born in Washington, DC on September 8, 1949 to the late Willie Alford (deceased) and Frances (Alford) V. M. Guyton. She married Robert Jones and out of that union she had three children: Robert Jones, Jr., Rhonda Jones-Graham, and Regina Jones-Corbett.

She was educated in the District of Columbia Public School system. Geraldine was baptized as a child and rededicated her life to Christ at New Southern Rock Baptist Church in 2000. She was active in the Nurse Unit, Usher Board and Women's Day Choir.

She worked for The Department of Labor in Washington DC for many years. At the time of death, she was employed with (NIAID) Dell Computer Services for NIH in Rockville, MD.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Robert Jones Jr., Rhonda Jones-Graham (Charlie) and Regina Jones-Corbett (Kelvin); grandchildren: Robyn Flowe–Reed (Brandon), Robert Jones III, Tiffany Jones, and Keith Winslow; great grand children: Tamiyah and Zion; mother: Frances V. M. Guyton; brother: James Alford (Sheila); sisters: Betty Alford and Gwendolyn Williams; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives; friends; coworkers; church family; and (special friend) Arlene Capers.
