Sylvia A. Brown

Sylvia A. Brown, 56, of Shade Valley Road, Blairs Mills, PA, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born February 17, 1958 at Lewistown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Howard & Denece (Rogers) Winnick. She was married to James W. Brown on November 14, 1998. Mr. Brown survives at their home.

Also surviving are three children, Brandon F. Goshorn and his wife Keri of Scotland, PA, Adam B. Goshorn of Camp Hill, PA and Bethany G. Goshorn of Blairs Mills, PA and 2 stepsons, James E. Brown and Jason D. Brown and his wife Kelly both of Carlisle, PA. Also surviving are one grandson, Chase Goshorn, four step grandchildren and three sisters, Jennifer Shingler and her husband Bill of Red Lion, PA, Sharon Hlavaty and her husband Mike of Cleona, PA and Denece Kemp and her husband Terry of Bexley, OH. One brother, Ronald Colyer, preceded in death.

Mrs. Brown attended the Richvale United Methodist Church, RD, Blairs Mills, PA. During her life she was employed as a nurse.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. William Bair officiating. Interment will be made at the I. O. O. F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 7 - 9 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
